It is impossible to speak about the future of nature without giving a voice to those who will live in that future.
The idea of protecting the wildlife of the Caucasus becomes truly complete when children join the conversation. They are the ones who will inherit the world we are shaping through the decisions we make today.
The children’s group exhibition We Are Not Toys was conceived not as a separate project within Fly to Baku Art Weekend, but as a natural and essential part of it.
Here, visitors do not simply look at the artworks. They follow traces, interact with the exhibition, leave their own mark, and gradually discover that everything they encounter is interconnected.
The title We Are Not Toys becomes the key to this story.
An animal is not a toy. Not a decoration in a landscape. Not a character that exists for human amusement. Even the smallest living creature is part of a vast system of connections, and disturbing that system inevitably has consequences for the entire world around us.
